Hi there! It’s been a while since the last Team Tonic update and we wanted to give you a bit more insight into all the work we’ve been doing over last few months. You may have already seen some of them in the app 🙂

Climb the charts 📈

A big new feature designed keep your motivation strong—Leagues! We were inspired by the energy and passion that you all bring to Challenges and wanted to keep that momentum going. Each note you play, each rhythm you master, brings not just personal satisfaction but also recognition and rewards in our vibrant community 🏆

Here’s how it works:

🧚 Fair play: We hear you—sometimes the Challenges feel a little too big and out of reach. For leagues, Tonic first puts you together with 29 other music lovers, matched on similar lifetime XP. This ensures a small, level playing field to nurture your skills.

👑 Your chance to shine: Each league is named after a treasure. Every minute you play counts, earning XP that propels you up your league’s leaderboard. At the end of each week, the top players move up to the next league.

🗓️ A fresh start each week: League leaderboards refresh every week on Mondays at 12:00am (midnight) EST.

⏱️ No backsliding: If you’re not able to practice, you might be moved down a league. However, you’ll remain in that league until the next time you earn enough XP to move up again.

💎 Visualize your success: Each league is a milestone, representing your dedication and accomplishments in music practice, and will be displayed on your profile page.

🏡 A place for everyone: Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced musician, there’s a league for you. Just keep practicing to make your mark!

🎁 Reap the rewards: We’ve got some fun surprises planned for you, and your studio space could get quite a glow-up 😄

🫧 Take a break: We’ve also introduced Zen mode in Leagues for when you want to take a step back and focus inwards, without worrying about competition.

How do I get started?

It’s super simple—if you’re on Tonic, you’re already in a league! Just tap the gemstone league icon under your avatar on the Home page to see the full leaderboard.
